Lawrence Tech University‘s esports branch has announced a partnership with global esports organisation Team Liquid.
The university’s esports programme is the first in the world to join forces with the organisation, the latter of which looks to gain insight into the collegiate esports ecosystem.
Unveiled on February 2nd, the collaboration between the two parties aims to build a stronger connection between professional esports organisations and students competing in scholastic and collegiate tournaments.
The university has stated that the partnership with Team Liquid will create clearer pathways for students looking to pursue a career as a professional esports player.
