25th Year In Teal: First Stanley Cup Final Game

For the first time in franchise history, the San Jose Sharks were in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Penguins went out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, a rather inauspicious start to the series. But in the second, the Sharks dangerous power play went to work, where Tomas Hertl scored the first Stanley Cup Final goal in franchise history.

Fifteen minutes later, the Sharks tied it up. Patrick Marleau - the career Sharks who has been with the team for 18 seasons - scored on a wraparound in his first Stanley Cup Final game.
