TUCSON, Ariz. – NM State continued its early-season road slate on today with a doubleheader against Arizona at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. The Aggies battled throughout the day but ultimately fell in both matches to the Wildcats, 7-0, in each contest.

The Aggies opened the day against Arizona in the morning session, facing a deep Wildcats lineup. NM State competed in doubles play, with the No. 2 pairing of Laurendi Fischer and Thomas Dufortes keeping things close before dropping a 6-4 decision.
In singles, Roko Stipetic put together a strong effort at the top of the lineup, pushing Jay Friend in a competitive first set before falling 7-5, 6-4.
