Indianapolis Colts Cornerback Rashaan Melvin Out Indefinitely

Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said on Monday that cornerback Rashaan Melvin suffered a “significant” hand injury during the game against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday and is “probably going to be out” for the Colts upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Melvin sustained the injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s game when he made a terrific break on the ball and intercepted a Marcus Mariota pass. Shadowing Titans’ wide receiver Harry Douglas on the play, Melvin dove in front of the intended receiver and picked the ball off just before it hit the turf.
