LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The Ball State softball program was honored for its hard work in the classroom during the 2017-18 academic year, as the team was named a 2017-18 Easton/NFCA Academic Team.
The Cardinals finished the year with a 3.315 team grade-point average and was one of 107 NCAA Division I softball programs to earn the 2017-18 Easton/NFCA Academic Team honor.
In addition, Ball State had eight student-athletes earn the prestigious 2017-18 Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete award for finishing the academic year with 3.5 grade-point average or higher.
Representing the Cardinals on the list were: Haley Dominique, Kendall Fields, Olivia Huffman, Maddy Labrador, Madison Lee, Isabel Moore, Stacy Payton and Carolyn Wilmes.
