MUNCIE, Ind. — The day before the first day of boys basketball practice, the Muncie Fieldhouse was severely damaged in a storm, forcing Muncie Central athletic director Tom Lyon to scramble to come up with alternate plans Sunday night.
Central will not have traditional school — but instead of an e-learning day where students stay home — or practice Monday after severe weather caused a flood and put a hole in the storied facility that was built in 1928 and holds Central's eight state championship banners in boys basketball.
